Scotch and Coffee aka SnCGames is the combined effort of James Archibald and Andy Morris, with coding support from Neil Meardon. Their online handles are Archie, Urby and Digital_Ice respectively. Long time fans of the Half-Life series and very serious about level design, the team are currently focusing their efforts on The Core, a single-player modification for the original 1998 title, Half-Life. While the primary focus has always been level design, each member of the team has experience in a number of different fields and are each responsible for bringing a little something extra to the table, be it modelling, texture design, programming or video and audio editing.
When they're not all hard at work on the mod, the team members share a passion for gaming in general, usually teaming up in cooperative games such as Battlefield, DOTA2 or even some of the old classics.
The Core is a single-player modification for the 1998 PC game, Half-Life by Valve Software. Using an updated version of the GoldSource engine dubbed "Spirit" the team is constantly pushing the engine to its limits with the help of the incredible compile tools from Vluzacn.
Starting its development way back in the Summer of 2008, the mod has gained a rather large following and with the recent release of a gameplay trailer has now been featured on sites such as Kotaku and PCGamer.
Despite its long development time, the team is unable to provide a ballpark release date at the present time. It is safe to say however that we can see the light at the end of the tunnel and we hope to have a solid release date to work towards soon.
